Letchworth City Chorus
City Chorus is a community choir, open to anyone who would like to sing. No auditions; just come along to one of our rehearsals on Wednesdays, 7.30pm until 10.00pm at the Free Church, Norton Way South, Letchworth and see how you like it. Our repertoire extends from jazzy show tunes to haunting sacred music. Rehearsals are fun and you don’t need to be able to read music.
Singing in a choir is all about blending voices. You do not have to be soloist standard, just be able to breathe and sing! Singing is great for your health and wellbeing and the team spirit and camaraderie of our friendly group will have you hooked in no time.
The Story So Far...
Every year City Chorus put on 2 concerts in the summer, and 2 concerts at Christmas. But that's just not enough for us! We are performers and are happiest when we're singing out in the community, or getting involved with local events. Our spring Tea Concerts are ever popular, and our Christmas sing-out round the town are legendary!
Read below to see how we've grown as a choir, not only in number but also in the community.

The return after Covid...
We weren't going to let Covid win, so we held a much-needed socially-distanced Christmas concert! We've missed singing, and couldn't wait to perform again!
2020
Well, Covid rather ruined our plans to host a concert to commemorate our 10-year birthday, but watch this space because we'll be back!
