How much commitment do I need to give?

  • City Chorus rehearses weekly on a Wednesday evening with time off during the school holidays. Ideally we’d like to see everyone at every rehearsal but we know that just isn’t always possible with work and family commitments. Section leaders are happy to discuss ways of keeping up with learning should you need to miss a rehearsal.

  • We like to have full Chorus attendance as much as possible at our two large concerts in the summer and at Christmas. For other events, numbers vary although our MD will always ensure the sound is balanced between sections.

How much does it cost to join City Chorus?

  • The first 2 taster weeks are free to prospective new members.

  • There is a joining fee of £20. This fee includes music & administration costs.

  • A monthly fee of £18 is payable on the first of each month. Payment should be by standing order or online bank transfer.

  • A Chorus formal shirt and tie will need to be purchased for performances (cost currently approx £20).

My family don’t want to sing, but can they get involved?

  • We always need ‘non singing’ help at City Chorus events.

  • If friends or family have a skill that you believe the Chorus could use behind the scenes or front of house, and they would like to be part of the City Chorus Community, please contact info@citychorus.net
